SMCT Celebrates Buwan ng Wika 2017


The month of August is a month where Filipinos celebrate the National Language month. The celebration is centered in reminding the Filipinos of the value of loving the language as part of patriotism. The SMCT community celebrated the Buwan ng wika by making the morning, noon and evening prayers in Tagalog. The language is also used as part of the teaching instruction. As part of the culminating activity, the SMCT students and Staff, dressed in Filipiña Costume. Activities and contest which promotes culture and language appreciation was spearheaded by the Higher and Basic Education Department. The entire school was in festive mood last August 30 and 31, 2017 as the Basic and Higher Education culminated the Buwan ng Wika 2017 with contests like Street Dance, Speeches, Singing Contests etc. Drumbeats and folk music really transformed the school’s ambiance into a fiesta. The entire community was involved.
