Marians Bag Awards in DACS Sportsfest 2016


Driven by this year’s theme, “Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy: Share and Live Christ’s Compassion through Sports”, the DACS Sports Program finally took its scene at PWC of Davao RSM Events Center last September 26-30, 2016 which was participated by fifteen (15) Catholic schools in Davao region including St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. whose players bag awards from various events.
In the said event, St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. never failed to accept the invitation. The school actively responded and joined in the Sportsfest and had taken its part by ascribing a list of representatives equipped with excellent talents and skills who were accompanied by Mr. Romeo Pacqo, the College Sports Coordinator and Mr. Erwin L. Sabornido, MAT, the Director of Student Affairs.
The school’s utmost cooperation and support became very meaningful and meritorious as the players and participants in various events bagged awards against the other competitors. Here is the list of the school’s winnings:

In the end, the players always hope that the Sportsfest would be an enriching inter-college activity of learning, fun and friendship but above all an opportunity of becoming truly compassionate just like Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Indeed, the feeling of experiencing triumph is not to brag for one’s own good but to honor God with humility and amicability with one another.
